Kirsten Kaack is the founder and owner of ESPARTO Yoga Fashion – a brand born from the profound connection between movement, mindfulness, and responsibility. As a Pilates and yoga teacher, she understands the demands that yoga clothing must meet in the everyday lives of practitioners: it should allow freedom of movement, feel comfortable against the skin, and at the same time radiate a calm, clear aesthetic.
The color palette of the collections reflects Kirsten Kaack's personal inspiration: the simple beauty of nature . Earthy, calming, yet vibrant tones characterize her designs. These colors convey serenity, provide strength, and represent a natural form of elegance – perfectly suited to the inner attitude that yoga promotes.
From the very beginning, when she founded her company in Northern Germany, she pursued a clear goal: to design purist, elegant, and functional yoga clothing that is comfortable and integrates harmoniously into the practice of yoga and Pilates. For her, design was never the only focus; respectful treatment of resources, materials, and people was equally important.
Sales are largely conducted via the internet on various platforms worldwide; you can also find ESPARTO Yoga Fashion in some boutiques of yoga schools (e.g., “Yoga Vidya” Bad Meinberg and others).
We also operate a direct sales operation with shipping and a warehouse in Harmsdorf near Ratzeburg, Schleswig-Holstein.
For about 15 years, ESPARTO has been among the pioneers of slow fashion, long before sustainable fashion became a wider trend. We consistently rely on ecologically and socially responsible production methods , which are demonstrably verified and continuously monitored.
A central part of our philosophy is the respectful production of our fabrics . Short and environmentally responsible transport routes for raw materials and finished products are also important. For us, sustainability means consciously shaping every step of the value chain. We maintain long-standing personal relationships with our producer in Turkey and frequently visit them on site.
The handling of finished products also follows this principle of mindfulness. Product destruction is avoided whenever possible ; instead, the products created during the production process are treated with respect. This is not only an ecological decision, but also an appreciation of the work of everyone involved in the manufacturing process.
