Behind ESPARTO

Kirsten Kaack is the founder and owner of ESPARTO Yoga Fashion – a brand that emerged from the deep connection of movement, mindfulness, and responsibility.

As a certified Pilates instructor and yoga teacher, she knows the demands that yoga apparel must meet in the daily lives of practitioners: it should allow freedom of movement, feel pleasant on the skin, and at the same time exude a calm, clear aesthetic.

From the very beginning, when she founded her company, she pursued a clear goal: to design puristic, elegant, and yet functional yoga fashion that is comfortable and harmoniously integrates into the practice of yoga and Pilates. For her, the focus was never solely on design, but also on the respectful handling of resources, materials, and people.

For 15 years, Kirsten Kaack was one of the pioneers of Slow Fashion. Long before sustainable fashion became a broader trend, she consistently relied on ecologically and socially responsible production methods that are demonstrably checked and continuously monitored.

A central part of her philosophy is the respectful manufacturing of fabrics.
From the outset, she sought production facilities where not only the quality of the materials was convincing, but also where the transport routes of raw materials and finished products remained as short and ecologically justifiable as possible. For her, sustainability means consciously shaping every step of the value chain.
